Import data from Internet Explorer window

I would like to be able to import data from Internet Explorer. The site I want to import from uses a consistent format but it requires a login followed by a search to get to the page I want. I'd like to use Access preferably to pull some fields off of a particular webpage. I know Excel can import data but not if it requires the login and search that I need to do. Is it possible to do this using VBA?
