Dears,

Hint: Administrator feel free to change my post Title “as I didn’t find good Title describing it”

Kindly support to do the following:

I’ve several Major roads and for each Road we calculate population after each 1 KM in points called “Count point_1, Count point_2, etc”, we have found that population is randomly distributed

Consequently, we need to calculate for each Road
• 90% Population: Provides Count point_#Number before which 90% of the total Population are located.

If the population is really randomly distributed, my best guess would be that 90% population is reached when 90% of the count points are reached.

I'm not sure, share your idea and I will check

My idea is that (if the buckets are the same size) randomly distributing balls into buckets averages out in the long haul to putting the same number of balls in each bucket.

If the count_points are equaly sized, a random distiribution of people should result (in the long haul) the same number of people in each count_point. Therefore, 90% people = 90% count_points.
