Hi,
Can Excel send messages to mobile phones? Is there any application for this purpose?
Thanks in advance.

after a quick search in google, what i get is it's no different than sending an e-mail.
email to:
your_phone_number@phone_provider_sms_mail_address

Do we have to buy that application or install it?

It aint working for me
Look for your provider from this list.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_SMS_gateways
the use your cell number and carrier email domain.
It works for me.

I am not sure that you understand. Use what was posted to find the syntax for the email address. Then use a routine to do the email. Since we don't know what email program you use, we can not suggest any code.
Some methods are Mailto:, CDO, Lotus Notes Object, MicroSoft Outlook object, Thunderbird, and on and on...
CDO works for some. See: http://www.rondebruin.nl/sendmail.htm
