Import 3,000 contacts into new dist list

Howdy,

I've never programmed Outlook before so I need a little help. I am running Outlook 2003 and need to import 3,000 contacts from Excel into a new distribution list. I went through the import/export function and only 255 imported when my named range in Excel has all 3,000.

Is there a routine that I can run that will help me out?
