Is it possible to strip out data using an algorithm expression in a make table query?

I have a make table query with three main names in a column called "Paris", "Tokyo" and "London" the column contains 70 records ...I would like to create a query/algorithm that strips out the different data of these names into separate columns. Can this be done? If so, how? If you have any examples that would be great or can illustrate how this can be done using expression or algorithm.
