Hello,

I would like to know how to extend cell column width beyond 255 characters.

But from Microsoft website, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP051992911033.aspx, it seem that it is impossible... :(

I use Excel to store scientific formula that are usually very long, more than 255 characters. :help

Please advise.

Hi there,

It appears to me that this is a limit set in Excel's specification and therefore cannot be exceeded. If the formulae are obscuring neighboring cells you'll have to switch wrap text on

Thanks, Killian.
To clarify what I meant,
Can a excel worksheets cell contain more than 255 characters?

If it's possible, store the data in seperate cells on another worksheet and Concatenate the cells. This is the only reliable way I can think of right off..
