Help with "Protect cell or cells on sheet and protecting sheet

I hope someone can help me with this. Simon had posted "Protect cell or cells on sheet without protecting sheet" can be found on this site kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=931#instr and included VBscript and an example which was great, but what I need is if someone opens a excel sheet and for example columns C and D would be blank but is someone where to type or click in column C or D it will prompt them for a password and if the password is correct data would be displayed in both columns C and D.

Welcome to the forum! Sure, use the Sheet's Selection Change event. The key is to protect the sheet and allow selection of locked cells.
