I finally grabbed myself a XBOX Live subscription and a wireless bridge connection to play online Halo 2 via my ADSL connection - its fantastic

Any other gamers out there who may be interested in having a rumble?

Cheers

Dave

Unfortunately I am not privileged enough to own such luxuries. I don't even have a TV :)

I wish I had my own xbox and halo2, I just play it at a friends house who doesn't have xbox live (though it isn't required to use live, I don't believe). Halo 2 was fun, though not nearly as good as the first in my opinion (too short, bad ending)

We never did beat the game on the highest difficulty, anyone know if thats a different ending?

The man, who has not yet been named, was selling modified Xbox consoles, fitted with a 200GB hard drive and 80 pre-installed games, via his website for ?380.

He was selling them on his website... gee... I wonder how they found him?

I'll play with ya. :yes Although I must say, Ghost Recon 2 is MUCH better. It's not all Run-n-Gun. I play Halo 2 online and I gotta leave it for the kids (and they're so mouthy!). GR2 is so much better, and has a much more mature audience with it (generally and usually).

But I have both games. My GT (GamerTag) is "TFS FF Zack", w/ 2 spaces in there. I am getting my DSL hooked up Thursday, so I'm down until then (I was WAP to wireless network, to DSL; but that's no good, latency too high for XBL).

Thank God for Zack .... I'll send you a friend reqeust. I take it that you won't decline me.

My gamertag is really hard to figure ... something like brettdj. I hand't realised till I logged on that everyone else used alien or hero sounding names as opposed to my profile

Matt, XBOV live is a whole different ball game. Way better than single player. And if you don't have a wife and kids you don't have to go through the capital justification process to get the gear.

My summary of XBOX Live todate

Americans are the funniest people on XBOX live
Americans are the most irritating people on XBOX live
The English players moan about the Americans who in turn pay out on the English. It plays out like a debate on Iraq
Australians either don't seem to be on XBOX Live or they cunningly disguise their voices with American accents
Being paid out by a 12 year old American who speaks like a girl and calls you "dude" brings out my deeply suppressed violent side. Especially when he taunts me while simulataneouly rogering my character

ROFL! Look forward to seeing you. I'll add you to my FL as well (and won't decline you if you get to it first). My brother (GT = krayzie8z) said he couldn't add my new GT, said it told him "Name doesn't exist." So not sure if I need to get online with it once first or not. I signed up and then lost my connection. We'll find out tomorrow. :yes

Makes sense, except every spare cent I have these days is kept for my upcoming cross-country trip. I'm sure you'll still be playing xbox when I get back and have enough expendable income to buy one, it'll probably be cheaper then too with the looming release of xbox 360.

Zack - As for my trip this summer, I'll be in your area sometime on the 22nd, not positive of the time though. Depends more on when I get in the area and where I sleep the night before (probably somewhere around boise). I'm only going to really be around there for a few hours, as I'll be ending the day in seattle. I've got your cell # though, so I'll keep you updated as the time gets closer.

I was playing Halo 2 for a while, but I'm addicted to BF2 now.

<Blearly eyed after playing XBL to 1:30am and then going to work. Have forgotten that I am 34 and can no longer abuse body with alcohol or sleep deprivation>

Zack, I think I got a friend request from krayzie8z that I accepted, I'll send one to you tonight

BF2 sounds great, I'll see if I can pick up a cheap copy on ebay
