Below is my urgent requirement...

I had some flagged emails that got moved to an archive folder without actioning those items. The problem is that it moved out of my "For Follow Up" folder and I had forgotten all about them. I realized all of this because I got an email from someone wondering why I never responded.

So for any outlook experts I am wondering

1) Is there a way not to archive the flagged items without using the Do not archive check box in the properties option

2) An alternative way to flag emails that i need to respond to .

Hope i made myself clear...:help

1) No -- or don't use the built-in archiving feature.
2) Not really, other than putting them into a separate folder which you might call "To Do" or something similar.

Thank you...:friends:

Is it possible to write a script in such a way that when the items are flagged, Do not archive option in the properties to be enabled and when the flag is complete then it should be ready to archive..

You could try checking the Change Event to see if it tracks when an item is flagged:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa171326(v=office.11).aspx

However, as I mentioned earlier, I don't know if there's any way to programmatically check the "Do not archive" box. You could try setting the MailItem.NoAging Property to True and see if that works.
