I have a word (.docm) document with command buttons (legacy controls) that work just fine. I made it in Word 2010. The document also has dropdown list content controls.

I designed this form to be an embedded object frame in an Access form (non-linked).

When I open the document (or maybe its clone) from my Access form, the command buttons are disabled; they behave like the document were in design view.

The original document is still on file and works just fine. The document.protect property is already wdNoProtect (-1).

Whether it is Access or Word doing this, can someone tell me how to keep my command buttons from being disabled?
