Hello Guys,

I am working in a company. My work is to move the Mails from one folder to another folder on the basis of the attachments.

For example, If I got a Mail with Attachment ".pdf" then I need to move this mail to PDF folder in the Outlook folder itself, and same with the ".TXT", ".RTF", and so on.

Is there any way to do this automatically? on the basis of the attached extentions files?

By the way, I am using Outlook 2007.

Thanks,

Waiting for your help.

Please don't bump or reply your own posts to keep them at the top of the threads list. Some of us only visit the board sporadically and don't have time to go over every thread, so we use the search feature to look for threads with zero replies. Since your thread technically has a reply, it wouldn't get picked up in such a search.

To answer your question, yes this can be done automatically. Do you have any code written so far?

Thank you very much for your suggestion and your reply, I will not repeat this in future.

I don't have any code with as I am not a VBA Expert.

Can you Provide me a sample?

Thanks,

I'd like to help you, but I can't write the entire code for you. Start with the code found here and if you have a specific question, post back:

Before moving mails from one folder to another maintain backup of these emails which helps in data loss scenarios while moving them .You can even migrate Outlook 2007 to 2010 easily which has many advanced features useful to move emails.
