AN ALTERNATIVE TO FIELDS

Hi all,

I recently read an article (perhaps it was in this forum) whereby it was possible to type data into part of a word document and have it repeated throughout the document in preselected places.

I normally use fields for this purpose but I believe there is another way. To the best of my recollection it involved the use of a "lasso" which resided on the quick access toolbar. Does anyone know anything about this method?
