Is it possible to create a query based on another query?

Hi experts, I would like to create a query calculating the errorin reported population density for a list of countries - this involves creatinga query based on a query (http://www.wiseowl.co.uk/training/exercises/ex-1022.htm). Is there a way I can approach this? Do you have any examples, websites, articles, books or pesonal experices how I can do this?
