Dear all, each time I open my excel file, I get a start up message saying, 'this workbook contains links to other data sources............. (update) (dont update) (help)'

Is there any possibility to stop this message appearing with default 'update' to be selected?

I am using excel 2010 in windows 7 home basic.

Thanks for your help.

Click Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
Click Advanced.
Under General, click to clear the Ask to update automatic links check box. This works for 2007, 2010 should be the same.

Not a good idea in my view. What if a workbook has links it shouldn't have, how will you know?

He asked for an answer, I gave it. What more can I do?
