Date Stamp a Document

Hello All,

Im not a pro when it comes to Microsoft Word so was wondering if anyone can help.

I have a Merged template with all the fields set up. What i want is a Date Stamp that will insert todays date when opened.

I have the tool built into microsoft word that inserts the date at the moment. But when i save the letters as a back-up, then open it in two weeks time i CANNOT see what date i sent them because it is just todays date.

Can anyone help please?

Make sure when you insert the date you have UNCHECKED Update Automatically.

Hello, thanks for the reply but this wont work because when i merge my next document it will be at the date i unchecked the automatically update.

Well yes, there s nothing you can do about what you have done in the past in existing documents. I mean beside going back and changing those.
