Hi All,

I know how to copy from Excel to word and apply a table style and change the column formatting. My question is (using the attached worksheet as an example):

How do I copy across the excel table so that the following criteria are met:

- I can apply a table syle that will still retain the red cells where "Fail" is displayed"
- The header continues onto the next page if the table runns onto more than one page
- Word wrapping on the Description column is retained in word.

thanks

Paddy.

Items 2 & 3 are fairly straightforward, and should easily be accomplished in standard table styles.

For the header, you can edit the table properties in the header row so that it repeats on each page.

Not sure about the word wrapping - I would have thought this happens by default. If not, perhaps you can set the cell alignment in your table styles as well to force this to occur.

With the "fail" Word tables don't use conditional formatting in the same way as Excel. I believe this can't be accomplished with styles - I would suggest you loop through the cells in those columns, and if the text range = "Fail", apply shading.

Sounds good to me.
