Parsing an RFP Word Documnet to Excel

I have a unique problem I need help with. I need to take a standard government Request for Proposal (RFP) from Word format, and parse that document into Excel. The RFP is broken into 9 sections (A through M). I'd like each section to be parsed into a separate tab of Excel. For the last two tabs, I'd like each requirement to go to a separate line, with the requirement number in a separate column.

I'm having trouble getting started. Can someone give me some guidance on how to approach this?

That is a fairly involved task if you are new to VBA. It is too vague to provide any specific help. Attach the file if you want specific help. Even then, there may be issues. If the file were setup in some structure like bookmarks or form fields, then the task will be easier.
