I will occasionally post links to discussions about Macs and Apple Technology integrating into the corporate environment. This one notes the use of Rendezvous and the desire to expand its use for Linux and Windows developers.

"Rendezvous is a zero-configuration technology designed to be compatible with the requirements of the Internet Engineering Task Force's Zeroconf Working Group, and is used to enable automatic discovery and configuration of compatible devices on a network."

Just an update on Rendezvous. Due to a lawsuit against Apple concerning the name, Apple has changed its ZeroConf technology to OpenTalk.

That makes sense, since the original Apple connection was AppleTalk, now expanded to OpenTalk.
