As a complete and utter novice could someone give pointers to how I can create a Custom right-click menu in Excel.

the idea is very simple i wish to add 2 options

1. to select a column if the cells to the left have a value not blank if line total not known

bad e.g column a contains data from row 1 to row 150 I wish to select down all cells in column b range b1:b150

2. as per 1. but with a selection to the right e.g cells a1 to a50 have a value so I with to select right range a2:a50

I know there was such a thing in spreadsheet assistant but the do not cater for 32 bit or 64 bit Office 2013

See examples below ( no selecting both directions at same time ) :devil2:

Thanks in advance

Keith

I am confused. Are you saying that if cell B2 is selected, and A1:A50 have values, the right-click option will select A2:A50 (as well as or instead of B2)?

Keith, there are a couple of different thought patterns here. as Bob has indicated, do you want to fill down to the last value in column A or simply to the last value in a continuos run down column A?

Inserting a column is not an issue, but what is more important is the logical reason why a column needs to be inserted

Hi Aussiebear

Thanks

Maybe this will help how it should end up

The intention is not to insert columns but copy down in the next column to avoid dragging for a long way as it may not be the same value being copied
