Send eMail immediately problem - ignore rules?

I have a rule set up in Outlook 2010. This rule defers the send by 1 minute. But sometimes I want the email to go immediately - ie when someone is waiting on the phone for the email. I am trying to write a macro that will turn off the rule, send the email and then turn on the rule. But that didn't work.

Is there a way to send an email and "ignore rules"?
