slide won't transition

Hi all,

This is a user problem rather than a vba one...

I can't advance the slides of a show any more. I have lost the right and left click function from the mouse, the arrow and PUp/PDown keys don't work, and moving the mouse does not bring up the arrows or dropdown menue at the bottom of the slide.

I run winXP
I upgraded to office 2010 from 2007, where I made this show.
I set it to auto-transition in 2007, and turned this off in 2010.

The Transition/Advance slide on mouse click is checked
I have some animations enabled on a timer

Could Show at a Kiosk be checked?

Yes it is. is this supposed to make it 'fiddle proof?

Kiosk mode kills the normal mouse and keyboard functions you must provide buttons to advance and return.

thanks John - as you can see, I know half of what I think I know - I have no Idea how this came to be set, nor what it did.
