One of the embedded adverts in the forum header is for the Internet Opinion Group. Their offer of MS Office 2003 "for free" is appealing. What is this group and what is the downside of participating?

I wouldn't no cause I don't know that google add...but:

I agree that Office2003 for free sounds fishy. But it could be the "academic" version/license (which is pretty cheap).:dunno

From you response I infer that the forum does not screen adverts ???

I also recollect that when the impending appearance of these adverts was announced, there was something about either they would not appear for registered users or that they could be turned off.
