I'm creating a template with 6 empty cells per page.

I would like users to be able to drag and drop images into those cells and have the filename automatically appear under the image. And if you can find a way to hide the extension (show "101-32" instead of "101-32.jpg") that would be great.

Drag and drop from where?

I am not sure about the automatic part. I suppose it may be possible, but only by using a macro to do the insertion in the first place (i.e. NOT drag and drop). It would take a bit a development. Is it worth it? If you are not familiar with VBA it is likely beyond your skills.

Drag and dropped from a windows explorer window.

Dang. I didn't think it was going to be possible to trigger a macro each time an image is placed, as opposed to running a macro to place an image+filename caption.

No, I'm not familiar with VBA, unfortunately. I've got a macro running that will place an image and add a filename caption. It will just have to work for now. Thanks.
