I am succesfully able to create Word documents with header/footer, but find out there is a half square showing up at each corner of each page (even shown up when printing).
Could anyone tell me how I could eliminate them?
Thank you!:banghead:

Hi there,

Sounds a bit strange - can you attach an example?

Yes a picture or example would be nice.

Sounds to me you've set Text boundaries to show.

Can you check if: Tools | Options | View | Text boundaries is off?

I am using Windows XP.

The hints you gave me is..., might be right. Cause I have tested on other machines (with XP) , there exists a rectangle (when checked for the text) together with the four "half squares') at corners. BUT in my case I got ONLY four "half squares". I do not know whether I have to RE-install the software.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi, :yes

Can you upload a zipped screen dump (ALT+PRTSCRN) of the corners?

That way I can tell for sure.

No do not reinstall!!!!

Hi, :yes

Yeps I remember this one. This hapens if you have a Asian language enabled in your language settings!

Remove the Asian language support in: Start | Programs | Microsoft Office | Microsoft Office Language Settings

Delete all Asian languages from the right Listbox. (Select | Remove)

That should get rid of the crop marks. (Perhaps it's needed to refresh your Normal.dot as well but get rid of the language settings first)

HTH,

I would remove all the excess languages and try.
Thanks.
