Solved: Excel Workbook Not saving

My excel workbook suddenly does not allow me to save or rename it.
It gives me an error: Document Not Saved.
Anyone with any idea as to what this problem might be, and a workable solution to fix it.

If I try to insert a macro to save, it locks up the whole workbook.

Any ideas ?

Can you copy the workbook data to a new workbook and save?

I uninstalled Office, did a full scan and then a clean re-install.
that fixed the problem, but I still don't know what actually caused it.
