So how do google ads respond to page content?
Recover password, record keystrokes and monitor use.

Mods: feel free to change content title etc. as you wish!

Hi Malcolm,

It appears that your intent to bring up site that sell software for hackers to steal people's passwords was unsuccesful. I took a look at the adwords, and there is nothing about cracking a password or hacking there at all. ;)

It keeps changing Ken, and I'm sure there is a correlation, and now I've seen the PCBeginner ad, I would add it to the blacklist.

I wonder what the cycle is... is it based partly on time? I have exactly the same results showing again as what I posted above. I would have thought that they would change with a refresh.

Maybe the adwords program is tracking cookies on you and knows that you're one of those types that shouldn't be trusted? :dunno

They don't trust Ken. And frankly I don't blame them.

I mean, who would trust a guy with a Green Dragon that looks like he's teaching a math course on Statistics as his Avatar?!?!

People pay Google for specific keywords. They pay based on how many people see the ad and how many people click the ad. Then of course we get a small percentage of that.

So suppose there are 100 sites paying for a certain keyword, well only 4 can be shown at once (for our setup). So there is some rotation algorithm in place for sure.

Based on the text on a particular page, Google determines (with pretty good accuracy) what ads to show.

And of course I can block any sites I want, so let me know the url to any hacking sites or anything else that is inappropriate for this site and I will keep the ads off.

Thanks

And yet, ironically, the ads I get now from a different PC are mighty similar to those from earlier... maybe there is something to the green dragon theory?

Hi John,
I think Steal Passwords was a publication article, rather than software source :mkay
