View Full Version : Please Help me!! My Shift+Del recovered XLS file is having data in unknow language!

By mistakenly I did shift+del on my excel sheet and then recovered with the help of some software but found the data it displaying is in unknown language like below....

This is very important file for me since the data in it was preparing from long time and there was no backup on it. Please find the attached document and also please help me guys!!!

I'm not really sure what you're expecting. That is what is actually in the file. It seems that your recovery software didn't do a great job.

If you click the file and choose properties, is there anything listed under the Previous versions tab?

Since you didn't indicate which software you used to try and recover your workbook, it doesn't leave us with much to work with.



This is very important file for me since the data in it was preparing from long time and there was no backup on it.

There's a critical message here, isn't there? Very important files need a regular backup and safe storage. Many a User has been burnt by not valueing their files highly enough.

Just as a further thought here. Try resetting your computer to an earlier time and see if that may bring it back to light
