Has anyone out there got a macro that adds a Custom Toolbars button to the Quick Access Toolbar so that both one's preferred tab (eg. Home) and the Custom Toolbars are visible at the same time?

Ever hopeful ...

Why do you need a macro. once added manually it is there for always.

Because the Add-Ins are being used by a wide variety of volunteers to do some simple tasks -- cleaning up OCR'd documents using Add-Ins/Custom Toolbars programmed with various text manipulation functions. Some of these people are phased by doing anything other than clicking a button in front of them. Following our graphic instructions on how to set up the button on the QAT is more than they can handle! Actually, I realized that the QAT/UI can be exported/imported, so the exercise is made somewhat easier. Even so, having loaded the Add-In templates sent to them by running a self-extractor, which could also place the QAT/UI file somewhere sensible, it would be useful to be able to run an AutoExec at startup that automatically imports it (if present).

So the question becomes, is it possible to import a QAT/UI file/template programmatically, without overwriting a user's own QAT and possibly other customizations? This will be useful for the future, too, if we get around to using a customized ribbon rather than Word 2003 templates and toolbars.
