Hello everyone
i would like to be able to copy a cell colour based on weather a cell has the exact same name as another. It must only be coloured if the original cell has a colour and not just if its a duplicate. So for instance column A Row 1 has the name Arsenal and i have coloured it green.
If another cell in Column A has the exact match Arsenal then that would be coloured too. There will be many duplicates in Column A but only some are manually coloured green by me. The rest I wish to leave alone. I don't think conditional formatting can do it. Is that right?
I will colour the cells manually if that makes a difference
Is that possible?
Many thanks,
Kevin

Conditional formatting is the quickest approach. Highlight all of column 'A', and using the dropdown, go to conditional formatting\Highlight Cells Rules\Text that contains... Just use the formula =$A$1. Format as needed..
