Hi there,
I'm fairly new to VBA, had some help from some coders, but I'm now stuck dealing with a few command object setbacks.
We are building an interactive map. We have icons you push which triggers these pins on the map to appear (see attached).
We then want another button with "customer names" to appear beside the pin, almost like a tag (rectangle with a point on one end).
That being said, because we can use png, the quality of command objects when in presentation mode is horrible, lots of artifacts happening which is why we converted the map to white so it's not as noticeable. Any idea on how we can input these tags? Shapes or pngs aren't able to be command objects, and all command objects look horrible.
Is there a work around? is PowerPoint2013 fix these issues? thanks in advance!

"Shapes or pngs aren't able to be command objects"

Not sure what you mean by this. If you mean shapes, PNGs etc cannot be used to trigger macros then that's not correct. They can. If you just want to click a trigger to make the pins appear you don't need code at all - look up trigger animations.

Hi John, many thanks for your reply!
The only issue is that there are 250 pins already in place via vba code extracting from excel. So... we're are already weeks down this road. We are stuck with not-so-pretty command object buttons that trigger the pins. Is there any way to use a png to trigger these pins? I looked up trigger animations, as much as that may work we have traveled too far to turn back lol. Does ppt 2013 offer any fixes for my issues? I can't seem to find info on that...
again thanks so much for the help, much appreciate :)

First 2013 doesn't change this though to be honest I don't understand the problem.

You hardly ever need to use command buttons in PowerPoint. PNGs or shapes can trigger a macro just by INSERT > ACTION > Run Macro

What looks horrible the pins (they seem to!) or the command buttons?
