Order of Controls

I have some texboxes that I want them to appear in datasheet view with a specific order.

How can I control the order given that I tried tab index and tab order but did not achieve the desired result?

Rather than use text boxs, couldnt you just use a spreadsheet (thousands of text boxs there) and
post your CAPTIONS in front of the cells (boxs) in the order you want?

The form was already there (I am supporting an already existing application) and I was viewing it in datasheet view.

The answer that worked for me was to simply drag the columns to the desired position then close the form and re-open.
