Hi,
I've just joined this group and I'm jumping back into MS Access after being away from it for a few years now. I have a problem that I'm trying to figure out:
I have an excel sheet with the following fields: Fullname, FinalScore and LocationCriteria. The scenario is that I have approx 200 applicants that received grades out of 100 from an online job interview questionnaire. The applicants can choose up to 8 locations where they would like work. I need to parse the Excel LocationCriteria field whereby it will separate up to 8 chosen locations and then import these individual choices into an Access table. The final report will have each location grouped in ascending order ie. Vancouver/Richmond area, below that will have all of the applicant names that chose that location sorted in order by highest grade.

Ie.
North Vancouver
John Smith 96
Sue Black 88
Peter Parker 77

South Vancouver Island
Chris Simpson 99
Bart Huros 88
Mike Johnson 76

How do I separte all of the locations from Excel doc and bring it into MS Access to create the above report? It appears that each location has a return character also in the Excel LocationCriteria field.
Any help would be appreciated. Chris.

This is where you introduce yourself.

Wrong place to ask questions here.
