I have a deck that has several slides and they contain linked Excel charts or tables and they contain data. I would like for my bullet points on each slide to automatically update the text based on the numbers in the charts.
For example I may have a slide that has a chart showing some sales and volume data along with a % change versus a year ago. I want my bullet points to update each time I update the data set in Excel.
Let's say that the sales % change versus year ago number is +4.3% and the volume % change versus year ago number is +1.2%.
My bullet point read that "sales grew +4.3% while volume increased by +1.2%".
Now I go to Excel and update to a new set of data and now sales are +5.7% and volume is -1.0%. My bullet point now needs to bring in the +5.7% and -1.0% into the text.
Any solutions?
