I have an Excel file that makes heavy use of the MacScript command, which has been deprecated in Excel 2016.

I attempted to use the new AppleScriptTask command as explained in this StackOverflow thread: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30949272/the-macscript-function-is-not-working-well-in-office-for-mac-2016-any-ideas/30949324#30949324

In VBA, I get run-time error 5 - Invalid procedure call or argument.

Here's where I put the script file:

14140

Here's what the script file contains:

14141

Here's the VBA code

14142

The run-time error is on the AppleScriptTask statement. Any ideas?

Hi

I use it in the Mail codes and I see you got my script file inside the folder.
Take a look how I set it up and if you not get it working mail me private so I can maybe help you

You can find the mail codes for 2016 Mac on this page

Can't post the link to the mail page, look in the Mac section on my site

I get this error :Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words.

Ron, I really appreciate your reply! And the valuable content at your website. I'm sorry for losing track of this thread. I got caught up in a business acquisition, etc and needed to put Excel 2016 for Mac compatibility on the backburner. I anticipate getting into it again in the next few weeks, and will let you know how it goes here. Thanks again!
