View Full Version : How can I link from Excel to a comment in PowerPoint?

I have developed a macro to export all of the comments in a PowerPoint presentation to an Excel spreadsheet, one comment per row, with the author, date, slide #, etc. I'd also like to include a hyperlink that would take the user to that row's specific comment in PowerPoint. In other words, the user would have PowerPoint and Excel visible onscreen. When they click a link in Excel, PowerPoint "scrolls" to the appropriate slide and selects the comment.

Does anyone have any suggestions? None of the Comment properties in PowerPoint seem to help. You can capture the parent of the comment and the x, y coordinates. But I can't figure out a way to use that information in a hyper link. Maybe I could make use of tags somehow?

Thanks for your help!
