View Full Version : [SOLVED:] Hide Unnecessary Decimal Markers
D3:E36 is Custom Formatted as ? ???.??? and contains simple multiplication formulas, eg: =(n*n)
I want to hide decimal markers when whole numbers (without decimal places) are returned.
Please see the yellow cells in the attached sample.
Can someone please offer Macros that I can copy & paste?
I am using Excel 2010.

That's more complicated than it sounds. Its one of the well know quirks of Excel.
There really isn't a way to do that with native Excel.
How open are you (or your boss's IT security crew) to VBA?

I am retired, and a novice at spreadsheeting (home use).
I know nothing about VBA (other than copy/paste other people’s code).

Some company IT departments don't allow employees to enable the macros in Excel.
Its not dangerous, but some coders are.
