View Full Version : Using Excel VBA i want to protect a range of cells but other cells should be editable

Hello All,

I am struggling a lot to protect a particular range of cells ,kindly help me in this regard .

Example:
I want to protect A,B,C,D Range cells and except these other cells should be editable.i tried all the ways and posted in the forum please help me if you have solution for this.

Select the entire sheet's cells by clicking the little square that is the intersection of the rows/columns header. Right-click in the field and select format cells|protection. Untick 'Locked'. Now just select columns A:D and do the same thing, only re-tick 'Locked'.
