Pick Titles from Word Catalogue based on years and Paste in a new Word document.

Hi all,
I have a number of large word documents with lots of Book titles arranged by category and years.

My task is to check in each category say Agriculture and choose those Books which be long to a range of years say from 1998-2010 and paste into a new Word Document. That new document should have two columns one for the Tittle and the other for the Years.

If your attachment is typical then I fear your request may be impossible. You have used manual formatting throughout and the book title sections are formatted differently from one another, so there is nothing for a macro to hang its hat on in order to be able to extract the required paragraphs. Had your document been formatted with styles, or had it been formatted in the same way for each title, then it might have been a different story.

It would not be a five minute job to create the required styles and use the replace function in Word to apply them to the appropriate parts of the text, before you could consider being able to extract the texts based on those styles.
