Source Password Protected

Hello,

I'm exploring solutions for workbook connections where the source data is password protected.

My source data is password protected to prevent users from being able to alter it in their favor. However, I would like to also connect a reporting dashboard to this protected database. Is it possible that workbook connections can function properly with read-only access?

So, my reporting data worksheet will update from my main database workbook (that is password protected) in read-only mode without entering a password?

I noticed that there's an option for my workbook connection to save password. I assume that's an option, too?

If you can open it Read Only, you can read it.
