Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I want to be able to hyperlink a 'mailto:' in normal view of PowerPoint. Obviously it normally only works in slide show view but I want it to work without having to do that, or having to right click 'open hyperlink'.

Surely there must be a macro code out there which enables this functionality?

Thanks

Pretty sure the only other way is CTRL Click (and this only in recent versions - you don't say what you have)

Hi, I'm using 2010.

Surely there must be a way. Some of the stuff you can do with macros is amazing, surely opening a link is simple stuff :'(

There is no way (at least without some very complex class code) A macro to run a link IS simple. Making that macro run when you clikc in edit mode is not at all simple.

That really surprises me. Hyperlinks are EVERYWHERE.

If that really is the case then I'm sure some geniuses still know how to do it? :)

Pretty sure it's not going to work so don't spend too much time looking. Hyperlinks ARE everywhere but it would be difficult maybe impossible (I don't use that word much!) to get them to work on click in edit mode in PowerPoint. As I mentioned in versions after 2010 CTRL Click works but not in 2010.

And actually CTRL click is only in 2016 (maybe only in subscription version)
