Interactive maps

I was looking for a post in the forum that allows me to use a macro to make multipurpose interactive maps, but could not find.


Anyone can give me an example that I can try to adapt?

Sorry but you need to provide a lot more detailed information.

What do you envisage as multipurpose interactive maps? A series of shapes, textboxes, gps map etc????

The big problem is in getting a map that is a series of separate shapes that you can code against. You can try searching the net and hope to find one that suits your purpose (there are dozens of the USA, others not so much), or build your own from scratch. I did the latter some time back, it is fairly effort-intensive.

I need to show a map with various regions in which data appears in text boxes according to the value of indicators that I select from a drop down menu.

In relation to map shapes, there is no problem. I can draw them. What I need is to learn how to link shapes with a drop down menu of indicators, so map shows data in pop up text boxes, depending on the indicator chosen
