Merging two tables and inheriting formatting

I have two tables in a Word document. One is formatted and one is not. I can manually concatenate the two tables and the unformatted table will inherit the formatting of the other. This is exactly what I want but I need to do it with VBA.

I don't want to just delete paragraphs between the tables because then the formatting is not inherited. I haven't been able to find anything online to solve this.

Any ideas?
