ActiveX controls in office 2016 distort when design mode is off

Hello all,


I been having this particular issue since I got upgraded to office360(2016).


When in the developer tab the 'Design Mode' is pressed, my interface looks as this:

However, when the 'Design Mode' is not pressed, my interface distorts like this:

This issue is affecting the whole user experience of the tool. Does anyone knows what may be causing it? or how could i make it look as the first image all the time?

Welcome to the forum and bug city...

Looks like the old transparency issue again. I tried several of the old ways to work around it but see no way other than using a form control.

Years ago, I always preferred ActiveX controls. Since Microsoft introduced problems with the controls in an update a few years ago, I only use ActiveX when I am trying to help someone that insists on them.
