Hidden Hyperlinks - In Images Unable to Find or Change

Hi folks,

One of my documents has an image that has a hyperlink to an external web site.

I changed the hyperlink to example www.google.com as a test.

It shows on the screen tip but it still goes to the old hyperlink.

Is the old hyperlink hardcoded somehwere?

This hyperlink I cant seem to find any where at all!

It doesn’t show up on the edit hyperlink

So its hidden somewhere in this IMAGE picture or anchor object - BUT WHERE??

I have tried at least 10 different macros to delete hyperlinks from document but it doesn’t work

Where could this hyperlink be hiding and how can I access it - AND THEN delete it

Its not an inline image
Just a picture

I would upload the offending pic but it’s a family member they wont be too happy me showing their mug on the nets.

But in all seriousness this is really really bizare i just wanted to delete the hyperlinks from these images and spent hours getiing nowhere
please save my sanity

With access to the document, it is hard to say. Why don't you just delete the picture and reinsert it with a new hyperlink.

Hi Greg,

When I hover over the image it shows a different hyperlink on the right
On the left the old website hyperlink

Is it a hotspot hyperlink if such a thing exists.

I cant work out why word is hiding this hyperlink - and where exactly this hyperlink is hiding from me.

On the selection pane it says picture 27
There is another picture but that doesnt show up unless i select it

So there is something fishy going on

On further investigation as well I have found that the selection pane - shows 1 image at a time when selected.

Naturally it should show all the images but it doesn’t. I have not set it to hide any images.

Why would it hide 1 image and show the other ?

When I click pic27 pic 25 dissapears and vice versa on the selection pane.

I pasted the images to another document - the hyperlinks have dissapeared now

However -on the selection pane instead of showing both images it only shows 1

well its really worn me out this picture problem
I started off really hopeful to edit my document and hours later still confused at this behaviour
I'll see what i can discover
