datevalue error - #Value

I am trying to use the date value it was working but for some reason it is showing #Value now. When evaluating the formula it shows the correct answer until you complete the eval.

=datevalue(A2)

Make sure the cell is formatted for text.

I was able to fix it. I eliminated the date value and was able to pull the true number. Thank you.
