View Full Version : Excel - how to hide columns but allow users to insert rows

We have a spreadsheet with four columns hidden (preferably not allowing users to unhide). However, the users will need to insert rows and edit data. I've tried going down the permissions route but once the columns have permissions set to stop being unhidden, the spreadsheet does not allow users to insert rows, which is understandable. Any way this can be done?

When you protect a worksheet, one of the checkbox options is to allow users to insert rows, so it seems doable via permissions.
