Hi, I have an excel with following data
Name Course Score
X Literature 88
X History 85
Y Maths 83
Z Literature 67
X Maths 89
Y Literature 77
In total there are 3 courses, Literature, History , Maths.
-------------------------
I have a Word document to use mail merge as follows:
<<Course>>
<<Student >> <<Score>>
-------------------------
I would to print page course by course, i.e.
The outcome will be something like this:
Doc Page 1:
Literature
X 88
Z 67
Y 77
Doc Page 2:
History
X 85
Doc Page 3:
Maths
Y 83
X 89
Is it achievable by mail merge??

If you sort the data on the Course field http://www.gmayor.com/ManyToOne.htm will produce a separate document for each course with the names and scores in a borderless table.

HI gmayor,
I have sorted the Course field.
But still it gives one page one record instead of a table of record for same course group.

Did you use either of the methods I suggested? It won't do it without.

I don't understand what the two websites are about to say.
Way too many words to read.

I provide the tools to do the job - free of charge - and provide a web site at my expense that provides the information needed to make those tools work and you can't be bothered to read it? Really?

Anyway, it is good that you provide reference.
Just my personal bias which simply dislikes word complexity.

Just my personal bias which simply dislikes word complexity. So, you want to do something complex, then complain that its ... complex. That makes a whole not of sense. Not.

I mean if one sentence is enough to express, there is no need to use one paragraph.
Just my opinion on how to attain a more user-friendly and readable website.
Appreciate your website though.
I will spend time on it when free.

If you think you can reduce what needs to be said there to a single, intelligible, yet comprehensive sentence, I'd like to see it...

The ultimate purpose of language is for communicative ends instead of showing off intelligibility.
The primary rule is for the sake of reading convenience, in short, keep it as simple as possible.
You may disagree. But from the perspective of a reader, the presentation of the webpage is just not so appealing.
Of course I am not entitled to challenge your professional knowledge in word.

When you demonstrate that you can do it better, then I'll listen... Until then, it seems the problem - as evidenced in post #5 - is nothing more than your unwillingness to read anything longer than a single, short sentence.

Please kindly indicate which section I should read over tremendous sections in just one single web page.
Or if at your convenience, please indicate where is that one, single short sentence.
The web page contains lots of irrelevant information to begin with.
I am not against your monetary interest of product promotion.
