I know this is a vba forum but I might as well ask here.
Why is it that in older versions of Word the thesaurus isn't capable to recognize a conjugated verb and offer synonyms in a conjugated form?
When you write: "He sings" and click on "sings" to find synonyms all the thesaurus can come up with is "sing", which isn't a synonym but the infinitive form of the word so not really helpful. You can then click on thesaurus and find synonyms for "sing" but only for infinitive forms.
In other languages however, the synonyms are always shown in the right form, even though conjugations in German or especially French are much more complicated.
So, why is it that Word, being an American product, is so sparse when it comes to the English language?
(well, or it was, newer versions of Word are better in this regard)
And is there any additional file you can install to mitigate that problem?
