Allowing validation on protected sheet

Hi, I have a sheet that is protected, but I have 2 cells that have a validation list on them. Is it possible to allow these 2 cells to be edited? or allow the validation on the worksheet?

Yes you can "unprotect" the 2 cells in question.
You may also be able to use Tools>Protection>Allow users to edit ranges
if you have Excel 2000 or later.
