I've been working on a workbook with macros that needs to be sent to users who might not know how to get past the macros prompts. The data entry is by user form but is there a way to save it so when the recipient opens the WB they don't have to mess with prompts?

Hi Austen
If you're talking about macro security then you'll need a digital signature (https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Digitally-sign-your-macro-project-956e9cc8-bbf6-4365-8bfa-98505ecd1c01).

I've always used SelfCert.exe. It does require the Users' PC to be set to trust the certificate but once done you should avoid the prompts. A quick read seems to show other newer methods but I've never used them.
Happened across this which may assist (https://www.excelguru.ca/content.php?199-Security-In-Microsoft-Office).
